The Firefly Portable Vaporizer Review

The Firefly Portable vape is one of the nicest vapes on the market, but there are some draw backs to this model. As a quality house hold vape, you cant get much better, but due to a few characteristics of the Firefly, this might not be the best one to take on the road with you.

How it Works

The Firefly’s convection heating technology utilizes software that raises the vapor temperature from 100 °F to 400 °F over the course of a smooth 10 seconds. Custom draws are spot on with this one; lighter vapor, simply draw for a shorter time. If you prefer richer vapor, draw longer. You are in complete control, which means you enjoy a perfect draw every time. But remember, don’t pack your bowl too tight, unlike the Pax and other’s the Firefly requires a packed bowl like the old school days of pipe and lighter.

Loading & Cleaning

Packing and cleaning this vape is easier than most, but it requires you to do it regularly, well…the cleaning part. The heating chamber features a wide mouth and inwardly-sloped sides, which means that ground aromatic blends load and unload easily. The magnetic lid has an open vapor path that is fully exposed when the lid is removed, so it can be quickly brushed clean or rinsed in the sink with cold water.

Interchangable Battery

The battery works really well, one charge gets you 45 minutes and 40 draws which is pretty solid. However, it does increase the weight of this unit. Its almost 3 times as heavy as the Pax by Ploom. But it is pretty awesome that you can get other batteries for this thing and not have to charge it all the time. 2 Batteries should get you though a solid day of enjoyment.

This thing is built like a tank, but again, its heavy as a trade off. But due to the metals they use on this, the vape is as clean as humanly possible.
